American Heart Association – 2 Year Certification Card
4-hour Continuing Education Units for CNA’s

This course provides knowledge and skills for emergency life-saving techniques involving infants, children, and adults. Respiratory and cardiovascular distress, non-breathing, unconsciousness, choking, and cardiac arrest are addressed. The infant and child, and the adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) certification examinations are included. Students receive an American Heart Association certificate upon successful completion of the CPR/AED exam.

Med Tech Certification

Assistance with Medication in an Assisted Living Facility Course, 4 hour Continuing Education Units for CNA’s. This course provides students with the necessary knowledge to safely administer medications in an Assisted Living Facility. The six rights of medication administration and the regulations concerning prescription medications are taught. Upon successful completion of the course students receive a Certificate of Completion recognized by Assisted Living Facilities in the State of Florida.

First Aid
American Red Cross – 3 Year Certification Card, 4 hour Continuing Education Units for CNA’s. This course covers essential information in first aid knowledge, skills, and judgment with regard to emergency treatment of injuries and sudden illness. You will receive an American Red Cross First Aid Certification upon successful completion of the course.
HIV/AIDS
American Red Cross – 2 Year Certification Card, 4 hour Continuing Education Units for CNA’s. The purpose of this course is to address the characteristics, transmission, history and classification associated with HIV infection and AIDS. Organism characteristics, pathophysiology, transmission, clinical manifestations, complications, treatment advancements, prevention, ethical and legal aspects of care, and workplace concerns are addressed. Upon successful completion of the course students receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate may be applied for continuing education units by CNA's
